Step 1. Create a
Point Group Set
Step 2. Add one or more
Point Groups
Step 3. Select an area of scan points using one of the four
Area Selection Tools
Step 4. Assign the selected points to a
Point Group
Step 5. Switch the
Shape
tool to single selection Point
mode (keyboard shortcut Alt+P)
Step 6. Clear the selection using the
Clear Selection
icon
Step 7. If desired, export a
Point Group
or a selection of scan points using
Batch Point Cloud Export
› Export an Area Selection
Step 1. Select the area of interest in the point cloud using one of the four
Area Selection Tools
Step 2. Switch the
Shape
tool to single selection Point
mode (keyboard shortcut Alt+P)
Step 3. With the mouse, click on one of the selected scan points
Step 4. Open
Batch Point Cloud Export
to export the selection

When a scan or other object is a far distance from 0,0,0 coordinates or far from the camera's position, use the 'Find' option to bring it into view.
